As the session resumed, drivers took advantage of the opportunity to set fast laps on soft tires. Verstappen initially set the fastest time with a 1:10.986, followed closely by Norris with a 1:10.961. Piastri then set a new benchmark at 1:10.763, only for Russell to secure the top spot with a time of 1:10.702. Hamilton also performed strongly, finishing in third place.
